Art instruction built the way it used to be taught, for families teaching it that way now.

Hummel Art School brings classical drawing and design training into the homeschool, taught by two educators with over 40 years in front of a classroom.

Years Cherish and Benjamin J Hummel have spent teaching art illustration, design, and marketing for the arts, combined.

Most art programs for kids trade one thing for the other: real technique, or a good time. We built Hummel Art School because a student can have both and this is what makes education stick!

Every course starts from the same fundamentals a working artist learns first, perspective, structure, proportion, observation, and walks a student through them at a pace that respects how kids actually learn to draw.

Nothing here replaces your art curriculum. It supplements it, with instruction from two people who have spent a career doing this work in the classroom and in the studio.

Classical drawing and design training belongs in the homeschool room as much as in any studio.
